Constructed by Denise Sarchet-Trafelet
To launch the new and inspiring Bag-a-Week Showcase we are featuring this absolutely gorgeous Wayfarer 2.0 backpack sling bag beautifully crafted by Denise Sarchet-Trafelet using a combination of Harris tweed and a chrome tanned 3-4 ounce from Tandy leather called Laredo crazy horse leather. Denise used a regular woven SF101 interfacing and Decovil Light interfacing to the top gusset. A zippered convertible strap offers versatility for carrying and is meant to convert the strap from a sling bag to a split backpack strap. The Wayfarer 2.0 backpack sling bag pattern is by A Quaint Stitch and is available in two styles.
The Wayfarer 2.0 sewing pattern is an advanced to intermediate level sewing pattern. The Wayfarer 2.0 backpack sling bag combines a sleek stylish design, spacious capacity, and an intuitive and functional organization. This stunning bag finishes measuring 10” wide x 20” high x 4.50” deep. The main zippered compartment contains interior zippered pockets as well as storage slots to organize your everyday essentials. The front flap pocket is ideal for storing quick-access items such as keys or a phone. The back pocket can also function as a concealed-carry pocket to keep your wallet safe and accessible while commuting or travelling.
Denise Sarchet-Trafelet did an impeccable job making this bag and we look forward to seeing more of her bag-making creations!
