The Hainford Hat

A PDF Sewing Pattern from Charlie's Aunt

This is a PDF sewing pattern for the Hainford hat. An elegant wide-brimmed hat inspired by those worn by famous English author and garden designer Vita Sackville-West in the late 1910s. The Hainford hat features a two-part crown and flat bow trim. This fabulous hat suits most face shapes and looks equally stylish for everyday wear in tweed, moleskin or corduroy, or in lighter weight linen fabrics for a vintage-style and warm weather occasion. It can also be sewn with a plain one-piece crown.

This PDF pattern has 15 pages — nine pages including the cover, general, cutting out and step-by-step instructions, and six pattern sheets with the templates, which you must print and cut out. All of the templates are actual size. As most of the templates are too big to fit on one sheet, you must cut out and tape these templates together where shown. Instructions for this are clear. ONLY ONE SIZE is included in this pattern - medium 22½” (57cm).
