Modern Color Block Bucket Bag PDF Sewing Pattern + Exposed Zipper Insertion Tutorial

Julie Cefalu’s inspiration for this modern bucket bag came from a shopping trip while traveling in Portugal. A long strap allows you to carry this purse as a shoulder bag or cross -body for a hands-free trip.

Sewing Supplies:

1. exterior main fabric, 2/3-yard

2. lining fabric, 2/3-yard

3. zipper pocket, one fat quarter

4. color block accents, six assorted scraps (at least 10″ × 2″ each)

5. lightweight woven fusible interfacing, 2¼ yds. (Julie used Pellon® SF101.)

6. zipper, 9″ or longer

7. bag template provided

8. zipper foot
